The Wall Breakers project is now in its second year. We are made of up two tolerance classes at Lincoln Middle School and our main goal is to try and change the perspectives and actions of many intolerant young people. This project is centered around real stories from our lives. We believe that negative stereotypes, discrimination, racism, sexism, and all other forms of intolerance come from ignorance. We hope that our stories will help to inform a broader audience about the rich diversity that exists within our school and community.

We hope that our stories reach an audience outside of our own classroom. The stories are not really unique to our school because we think millions of young people are going through similar experiences. We have achieved one goal which is to involve most students at our school in both listening to our stories and contributing new ones. Our next goal is to get students from our city, state, country, and even internationally to join us in this podcasting project.

Each one of us has been changed in some way by a story we have heard. We have gained some degree of awareness about people who are different from us in some way. It has allowed us to think more deeply about the community that we are all a part of.

Please send us an email to let us know your thoughts about this project. We appreciate the feedback and support. If you have a story that you would like to contribute, we would love to add your story to this project and are ready to help make that a reality.
